They all did really well, actually. Of course it's impossible to not love Overshown. I admit I didn't make it through James Houston.
 
A few things stood out to me:

  • When talking about the receivers he mentioned 5 of them and didn't say Pickens' name
  • Downs is so humble and teachable and that is so important for a rookie
  • I like the mentality of "the main thing is the main thing" a lot. Both Downs and Overshown said it. I like it.
  • I guess Overshown is going to be the green dot?
  • Overshown is a bit cocky, and I like it
  • I liked what Overshown had to say about Schotty. I hope he has truly learned from last year as DO said
  • Blue is saying the right things. Let's hope it translates to the field
  • Chapo's boy (Thomas) sounds smart. It would be a huge bonus for us if he can take a big role on the line
Watching this was a good way to wake up. Man, it just feels good to be talking about football again. It has been a while. Props for posting, Chapo.

I hear ya...Before the draft, I started doing deep dives on Downs and it's impossible to not like him if you are a football fan. Everyone knows his traits and skills but watching him command an interview really is something to see. He talks like a 10 year all pro yet he hasn't even been in an nfl game yet. I'm so excited we got him on our team.
 
While Parsons plays a more valuable position I think it's more important having a guy like Downs who will probably be just as good (at his less valuable position), but who is an ultra-serious minded leader who doesn't get spun up in all the bullshit surrounding this specific team/city.

You don't have to worry too much about that most places, but you certainly do here.

Well he has yet to see Pickens, so it should not be a surprise he is not talking about him.
