2026 OTAs and Minicamp Thread...

Holden made a lot of plays in the Oregon/Ohio St. playoff game when I went back and watched Downs, he could easily be a surprise guy on the 53 if he can play special teams.

I mean depending on what you call Turpin we basically have 3 WRs and then not really shit behind them. A guy like Holden has as good of shot as any for that WR4 spot. I personally just don't count Turpin, he is a gadget guy and return man. At no time do I really want to see him playing full time at WR. I hope Anthony Smith can step up and compete for the fourth/fifth type receiver spot with Holden. I'm not really sure who else fills that role? Mingo is trash in my book. Maybe Tyler Johnson who we just signed. Valdez Scantling is trash.

Basically we need someone to step up and look better than a practice squad player. Because after Flournoy I'm not sure any of these guys are better than practice squad level receivers.

Jerry probably thinks this is Mingo's year. :lol :doh

That's still one of the weirdest and most shocking trades to me. Didn't make sense at the time and it still doesn't make sense. Not to mention it was a horrible overpay. Clearly no one else in the NFL is fighting for Mingo's services. But I have seen almost nothing from him that gives me hope. I just don't think he is good at all. And now compare that to WR's like Lance and Serratt that you could have had in the fourth round this year. Just crazy that instead of drafting those types we would ship a fourth round pick off for Mingo.

He might be the guy I'm most curious to see play. I know what I'm getting from Downs. I know what I'm getting from Lawrence. But Barham is kind of a badass football player that I'm curious to see how he does at ILB. Probably the most intriguing to me of all our draft pick.
I love Barham so far just from his interviews. Dude has to be halfway scary to the media guys just with the intensity he looks at them and the answers he gives.

Can't remember the last really good defensive player we had who had a real mean streak like that. Even guys like Ware, Sean Lee, Micah, now Quinnen... they all seem like mostly nice guys. Barham seems like he wants to hurt you.

Especially a LBer who is scary. We have had some Dlineman. Most recently I think Demarcus Lawrence was a scary kind of dude on the Dline. But to have an intimidating guy at LBer is definitely different.
