They're basically cooked unless Mannion is the next McVay/Johnson-type who is on a fast track to being a HC.
If he's only average or worse as a play caller their offense is going to be complete ass. They might be able to turtle ball their way to 9 or 10 wins if their defense is still top 3-5, but if their defense drops off at all you can turn on that nightlight, goodnight baby.
They lost their best defensive coach...
Their top RB is not the same guy who killed it two years ago… not by a long shot. They lost their best WR, maybe their second best offensive player after Johnson, and replaced him with a late first round rookie. Uh uh. Unless the guys name is “Moss”, not in this league.I think Fangio is good enough to keep them top 10, but they need to be top 3-5 to make the playoffs (as a wild card).
They had a really good draft though.
To me, the conversation about the Eagles starts and ends here. You can talk about coaches and their defense all you want, but this is what seals it for me. My prediction is they will be a 7-10 team this year and won't make the playoffs. The main thing is their QB sucks.

Their defense didn’t have a pass rush last year and they really don’t have one now either. I think they have Jalen Carter and a bunch of well-coached guys.

This is a transition season for them as they move from their former stars to their future ones.
Their WR corps looks to be taking a big hit. You replace Brown with, who, Wicks? Lemon has barely even practiced yet.
I think all the Roseman hype is due to die down. Most people other than GOAT types have hot streaks that even if they last years, don't last entire careers.
I think the biggest strength of Roseman is that he seems to always be playing with a stacked deck in terms of draft resources. He rapes people in trades.
With that being said he is an average at best drafter. He also has no fear of going all in. But that strategy is going to lead to some down years. I expect a down year. But his strength is the ability to parlay those extra assets into a quick rebuild.
I had rather God focus his attention elsewhere.and God help them
I mean, the guy has presided over the team in essentially the best two decades of the team’s history and a time when they are pretty clearly the class of the division. It’s not like the Cowboys from 1960-1983 or the Patriots amazing 20 year run, but who else can boast much more than he’s accomplished during his tenure? Philadelphia has been a top 5 team in the league and has consistent success. What’s more, he constantly builds up, tears down, and then rebuilds a solid, contending team, it’s not just cause he has had the best QB in football for 15 years.Their WR corps looks to be taking a big hit. No run of success last forever but I’d take him here in a heartbeat and over pretty much anyone else you can think of.
I’ll bet that felt pretty good to finally let out, eh? Come out of the closet, man. We accept you.I mean, the guy has presided over the team in essentially the best two decades of the team’s history and a time when they are pretty clearly the class of the division.
