It does, but you’d 100% take Hall over Williams any day of the week.

Put Williams on the Jets, and he doesn’t have nearly the production Hall did. Hall’s issue was injuries, which have affected Williams as well.

Y’all can homer out as much as you’d like, but give me Breece Hall

It's not homering out. It's (for me anyway) the way you said it.

If you think Hall is better than Williams, fine. It's not unreasonable to say that even if I disagree.

But when you say it as YOU'D 100% take Hall any day of the week, you're framing it as if it's Michael Jordan versus Sam Bowie. When in the reality Williams wins on the numbers in 2025 and it's not actually all that close.

If you have to twist yourself into a pretzel ("there were injuries, and the Jets sucked, and had a bad offensive line, and...and...and") to make your argument, just be self aware enough to know that it's decidedly not the case that we'd take Hall 100% of the time any day of the week.

The numbers actually tell a different story than what you're trying to sell us.

Breece Hall had exactly 1 season when he had a YPA as high as what Williams had last year, and it was Hall's rookie season when he only had 80 carries. Hall also never had 1200 yards rushing in his 4 seasons like Williams did last year, and last year was Hall's only 1000 yard season and it was barely.

I just don't see an argument for "you'd 100% take Hall every day of the week".

It's not homerism, it's that pesky thing called facts.

If I could trade Williams for Hall right now it feels like a tossup to me. Ignoring the contracts.

Not a toss up for me. I would take Williams and for me it would be an easy decision. Williams is a very tough runner. Hell, probably the most physical RB since Barber. That can be invaluable in close games. Then add the contract difference and it makes it an easy call, IMO.

Williams is a year older and has more of an injury history I think, so that's a point in Hall's favor.

They both have their positives and negatives. In the end I would probably put them on a similar tier. You might like the big play ability of Hall more or you might like the power and consistency of Williams more. But overall similar to me.

I’m glad we got Williams and it was sweet having him on my fantasy team last year. But he lacks breakaway speed and short yardage power and wore down as the year progressed.

We need Mafah to step up, Blue too, to preserve Williams.

Hall’s issue is not wearing down as much a breaking, but the guy has no help from his passing game.

He is not nearly the blocker that Williams is.

It is not about who just the runner is this days.

But it’s mostly about how good the runner is.

He blocks well enough, and it’s a secondary job to running the fucking football

And you didn’t even mention catching the ball where Hall crushes Williams utterly.

The last person I’d expect to be homering out with the crowd.

Thanks for the 3.9 YPC, Williams! I mean not even a pro stat. Didn’t know it went that low
