2026 NFL Cuts/Signings/Trades/FA Thread

It would basically be Pickens for a first and third.

I'd think about it because you're getting 2 players for 1, but I probably wouldn't do it.

If we trade Pickens our WR room is suddenly extremely thin. So one of those picks, probably the first, goes to a WR.

So I'm getting a third while potentially downgrading WR from Pickens to a rookie WR. This doesn't thrill me.

I know there's a money aspect but I don't care about that.

I mean pick thirty, as someone on this board would say, is essentially a second round pick.

But yeah that seems pricey given the skills and production. You're basically getting a good #2 receiver and not much else.

I'd far rather just take a WR with my first and keep the rest of my picks. Waddle is decent but he's not worth all that.

How high of a first we talking? Pick 30, probably not. Now you give me a top 10 and I can use 20 on a WR and I'm in.

Why didn't the Fins just stick with Tua for one more year instead of signing Wilkins? Makes more sense to cut him next year before drafting their QB of the future.

To get his money off the books now I'm assuming. Rather get it out now than have to keep the cap hit next year when you're trying to build around a rookie QB.

The Willis signing is more the head scratcher to me. Not sure what trying to improve at QB will do other than potentially screw up their draft position.

Yeah, I assumed Willis was signed as more of a placeholder than long term answer.

Yeah I think so, but why spend the money and put in a more talented guy when they could have tanked easier with say, Sam Howell. :unsure
