Right, that's what the report is saying, they're waiting until June 1st which is after the draft so it would have to be in 2027.

Would you trade Pickens for the Dolphins 1st and 3rd and the Broncos 3rd or 4th the Dolphins got in this trade?

That would be tough to turn down. But with 3 firsts I'm probably ending up using one of them on a WR. Still to have pick 11 and 12 I could really do some work on this defense.

But I doubt the Dolphins would do anything like this. That team is in a full rebuild.
 
Saw an article where Aikman said he was going to stay on in some capacity. Guess he gets to help build from scratch. Be interesting to see how fast or if they can rebuild.

Conceivably, we would've gotten more. Waddle had 910 yards last season, is 27 and only 5'10.

I don't know about the character stuff. But in terms of receiving ability, I'd take Pickens 100 times out of 100 over Waddle. Waddle is a good receiver. But Pickens is a legit #1 at 24 years old. I don't think the Cowboys have really shopped Pickens at all. But if I were a team like the Broncos, I would have considered paying the franchise tag price for Pickens over what they gave up for Waddle.
