2026 NFL Coaches/GMs Firing & Hiring Thread

That's what Harbaugh was when the Ravens hired him.

Yeah, which also feels weird to me since his brother has always been such an offensive guy. There is just something in that last name that works as a head coach.

Not sure I can think of another special teams coach that worked out as a head coach. Also that dude from the Saints was at other points in his life a head coach and those teams records were awful.

So Tampa is basically firing their whole coaching staff except Bowles?

Seems prudent and definitely not a financial decision based on them stupidly extending him this past summer.

Biggest contrast between HC and OC ever?

Could not give a single fuck less about losing Wells, especially if it means being the OC for a rival.

I know he has always been pimped as a great coach. And he might be very good but not sure I'm worried about losing a TE coach.

He seems fine, nothing special, I'm fine whether he stays or goes but there's no reason to believe he has what it takes to be a great OC so if a rival wants him in that role, God bless.

Yeah, I don't know why people seem to love him so much.

Probably because he developed Schoonerpooner so well.

I mean it probably has to do with more than just his work with TEs. I think TEs coach is only a notch above RB coach. You either have athletic TEs or you don't. Not sure a great TE coach really has that big of impact. But maybe he contributes in some capacity beyond that. I don't really know.
