2026 McGinn's Grumpy Scouts

I wonder about that, too. Not that I've studied all his nuances that closely, but when a guy is bulked up former safety who is tall and relatively lean and known for his athletic testing, I assume physicality and instincts are not his strong suit. Which definitely could be a concern.

I mean, when you think of the best LBs ever, athletic ability isn't the first thing that comes to mind.
I went and looked at some scouting reports (small Siberian salt mine) but they conflict. Some say he is aggressive in taking on blocks and some say he goes into contact standing up too much. But, who knows? Those scouting reports are all but useless, really.

The standing up part probably is true. It's hard when you're 6'5". Naturally he is going to be higher then most of the guys who play the position who are 6'2" or shorter.

From what I have seen the guy is really good at slipping blocks and making the play. He isn't running around guys.

Yeah that’s key, making the play off the block is what we don’t have. Too much of just running into space with no chance at a tackle.

Yeah its hard to even comment about our current LBer corp because there are only two guys I have even seen play.

I wonder if Camo Hat would try to make him a rusher like with Micah.
