2026 Draft Week Chatter Thread...

Signs pointing to CB or OT at 92.

OT is a gaping hole rn. Fuck Steele and fuck Guyton. Don't think it's in the Joneses to recognize their own choices have been bad ones.

Need the gif of that girl getting hit in the eye with a terrible towel

Love the Winters trade. Still need another LB. Now I’d feel comfortable with Perkins because we got a vet.

I wouldn't say I love it but it's fine, he's a decent enough bandaid who could start if he has to, but could also slot in behind someone better if we can get them in the 3rd/4th.

We have very little at ILB besides Overshown. Maybe he’s depth.
I'm hoping Winters is just a subpackage type guy. He can't be who we are relying on to start in the middle.

Been looking him up a bit. He is a decent LBer for what he is. Which is a cover and fly guy. Not a hammer in the middle.

But my question is, why now? This is a move that's made after the draft. Or at the very least, IN the round of the pick you just traded away. Because, Oh.... I dunno.... You might have found a better guy in the 4th?

I am getting angry.

I mean I'm not angry but the trade for Winters doesn't do much for me. I guess we got a LBer with a little experience. But probably best as depth. If I'm trading a fifth for a one year rental I'd like to at least look at a guy and see a legit starter. I think he started in San Fran because of injuries.

Paxton is one goshdarn mamma's boy. At least Spaulding is trying.
