See the thing about taking a safety first, which wasn’t exactly a TRUE need, is that the needs are still there: pass rusher, ILB (or two), and maybe another down lineman.

It would definitely be nice to get another pick by moving down from 20 to 23-28.

Nickle corner was a true need though. And he fills that hole. And our DC made it pretty clear that position is one of the most important in his defense. He needs a guy who tackles like a LBer, can blitz and cover like a corner. We got probably the only guy who perfectly fits his definition.

You draft the board you set up regardless position. Downs was a top 3 guy on most people's board. If you don't trade back ( I hope they can) then it just depends on who was next. Allen was mocked top 20 at various times.
