Yeah, it may just be he didn't fit the mold of what they want on defense. I get that the fit isn't perfect. But I also hate passing on guys because we need the right "fit" for a specific DC. Like if your DC can't figure out how to use one of the best defenders in the draft, the problem is your DC.

With that being said, I think Downs could be arguably a better prospect.

Downs is a better prospect than Bain but at a less important position.

Still, I agree I don’t like Bain’s fit in a 3-4.
