2026 Draft Boards, Position Rankings and Mocks

12 and 20 to New Orleans for 8, 42, and 73. Was pretty even, with Dallas giving up a few points. Went with the 2nd corner at 177 instead of Llewellyn which were my two top choices there. I would be very happy with this draft.

That's a damn near perfect draft to me. Use #20 and pick up two seconds and draft two very good players with those picks. Getting Downs on top of that is just the cherry on top. But, then getting Llewellyn and Cameron last seems almost illegal. And, wth is up with the C- grade on the Konga pick?

haha yeah I don't think their grades are dynamic, the later the pick gets.

C- on pick 218? c'mon

They probably don't know who Konga even is. In all fairness I only know who he is because we brought him in for a visit.

If they don't know him how could they give a C- on a late 7th round pick? They are basically saying the guy should barely even be considered as an UDFA.

So slight exaggeration, they know who he is. But I doubt they have much real knowledge about the guy.

Ok. Last one before the real deal. Shit's starting to make my head hurt.

Did you see who Philly took at 12?

ESPN's 7 Round Mock has us taking:

1 (12) Dillon Thieneman, S, Oregon
1 (20) Chris Johnson, CB, San Diego State
3 (92) Kaleb Elarms-Orr, LB, TCU
4 (112) Max Llewellyn, Edge, Iowa
5 (152) George Gumbs Jr., Edge, Florida
5 (177) Latrell McCutchin Sr., CB, Houston
5 (180) Bryson Eason, DT, Tennessee
7 (218) Le'Veon Moss, RB, Texas A&M

So this isn't a sexy draft. But if we just stick and pick with all of our picks I don't hate it. I really like Thieneman. I'm a big Chris Johnson fan. I think Kaleb Elams-Orr is a real sleeper LBer in this class. I'm a big fan of Llewellyn as one of my pet cats.

Admittedly I don't have much to say on Gumbs other than I think it's a gamble on physical traits. Same with McCutchin. Eason is a fine gamble on a D-lineman late with some ability.

Basically nothing flashy but I like the players with the first 4 picks. The rest I'd probably say are special teamers or hope and a prayer players. Not thrilled with that group.

I don't want two DB's in the first but I like Thieneman and Johnson at 12 and 20 individually.

Yep pretty much how I am. I look at Thieneman and I go that dude can start for us right now.

I look at Chris Johnson and I go that dude can start in the slot and start outside if needed right away.

They are two of my favorite DBs in the first round outside the obvious Delane and Downs.

But ideally I don't really need two starting DBs that early. I just need either a safety who has slot versatility or I need a corner with slot versatility. And then I probably fill out the depth on day three. Hopefully with better players than McCutchin. Apologies if someone really likes the guy. I didn't really watch him, just read up on him and his instincts sound like a really poor fit for us.
