2026 Cowboys Free Agency Thread…

Um he went undrafted. We must not have liked him very much.
He got Overshown’s blessing or whatever.

It does seem like teams are trying to reassemble college powerhouses after failed first contracts in the league.

This too is weird.

I dunno y’all, we might have dabbed our lips and pushed away from the table with a loud belch regarding free agency.

Oh we aren't. Just wait you will see at least two or three more Olewale level backup level/final cuts level players.

Starting defense as of now?

I mean if 12 and 20 don't start for us on defense we in big trouble.

I won't say big trouble but we have a lot of work to still do this offseason. Thompson was refreshing. But otherwise this feels like every other NFL offseason for the Cowboys. Well outside of the defensive staff choices.

And it's kind of sad that the biggest free agent move this team has made in decades is a 3 year 36 million dollar deal. But it is what it is.

  • RB Javonte Williams: One-year, $3 million.
  • RB Miles Sanders: One-year contract.
  • DT Solomon Thomas: Two-year, $8 million.
  • DE Dante Fowler Jr.: One-year, up to $8 million.
  • DE Payton Turner: One-year, $3 million.
  • G Robert Jones: One-year, $4.5 million.
  • LB Jack Sanborn: One-year, $1.5
So of all these free agents last year 2 worked out? You couldn't have combined all the turds and maybe got a few really good starters?

Take a strong look at those players and the money.

Ravens back out of Crosby deal!?!?

Wow

Yeah it's weird. Like even though shit can't be official until tomorrow you rarely see these things backed out off. Especially a monster trade like this.

And no, Jerry, its not the time to offer a first, second and fucking Osa again. The Raiders would probably love for us to bend over for them now.

While it's disappointing that LB is such a mess I still think this FA period is light years better than anything in years, the only thing that was comparable was trading for Cooke and Gilmore, but this was still better.

Gary is one of the best players we've traded for in years and Thompson is the best FA we've signed since Carr.

I don't think we're a legit SB contender but I feel pretty confident in our chances of winning the division.

Great. Now we have to start worrying again about what the Cowboys might give up for him.

What did the ravens find out that no one else knows yet? Did he fail a physical or something? Or maybe he didn’t want to go there and wasn’t going to re-do his contract?

I guess the Raiders still are $50-60 million under the cap with all their signings and Crosby back. Damn. I thought we might get a second chance at those LB's.
