I like Herbig ass.
I like Herbig ass.
Not sure they trust him enough to do more than a one-year thing at this point. If they’re smart, they will lock Pickens up so that some of his contract could be deferred… franchise tag would mean somewhere around the $28 million cap hit
"We'll do some dramatic things."
~They sign no one~
DRAMA!
"All in"
Now "Bust the Budget"
I'll believe it when I see it. You can't resign Pickens and call that "busting the budget"
Gonna be a lot of Olawale's, an Olawale tsunami if you will.
Yep, he's priming us.
I actually do think they're going to do something more significant than they have most years, there's just too much chatter to that effect and I think it's just kind of a perfect storm between the Parsons public embarrassment, the offense being so good and the defense (and their handpicked boi Eberflus) being so horrendous.
Will it be well thought out?
Almost certainly not, but I do think they're going to hand out their biggest FA contract since Carr, probably something like 3/30 or so, which is really just a solid starter these days.
I think Simp is right. Maybe they only sign one bigger "name," which isn't enough, but I think they know they can't bring in a bunch of Olawales and Murrays (I know that was a trade) and get away with it after two losing years.
Totally fair. And it's not like I think they'll do a good job, just probably come up short in a different way.As CRock says, I'll believe it when I see it.
If it is like the tsunami of shit in 2012, heaven help us.
Gonna be a lot of Olawale's, an Olawale tsunami if you will.
I'd much rather trade Pickens now than tag him for one year and lose him for nothing next year.
He’d still bring a 3rd round comp, just as he would have this year if they let him walk.I'd much rather trade Pickens now than tag him for one year and lose him for nothing next year.
