2026 Combine Thread

Now I picture booze as Nick Nolte in that Hulk movie.

Obviously, you could make an argument that we should spend every pick on defense.

They had a visit with Love though so I'm glad they seemingly have an eye on RB.
Exact opposite of what I thought they would do. I figured they would go front 7 heavy in FA and secondary in the draft. And, I'm cool with that. As long as both are addressed.

I think you'll see a very long list of DBs. Some of this information is being released in the order it is because of the order players arrive for the combine. DL and LBers are the first groups to arrive.

DB's media interviews start tomorrow.

WRs and RBs don't do the media stuff until Friday.

So the reason its all LBers and Dline is because it was their media day today.

You most likely are right. I didn't think about the order they came in.

Does that mean he won't be doing the testing either (40, etc.)?

If so I'm out, but if not then I don't really care about him doing the actual position drills.

Yeah, this was sort of my breaking point. You've had all season to prepare for this. If you're not ready that's OK, but you're not going top 12 to me.

He was the one guy who I thought could show everyone that the knee is 100% at the combine. I can't trust he is back without that. And sure he may work out at some super controlled private workout later. But it's not the same, especially given his situation.

I'm kind of with Mosher on this one -- sad that these guys can't do the combine anymore.

My total guess is these guys are training so specifically now that they're trying to peak at one time, and now that's their pro day. It's almost like the Olympics for them. You wouldn't go truly balls out in a 100m three weeks before running for a gold medal.

Dumb because a few hundredths of a second on your 40 doesn't matter anyway.

Thats kind of my thing, I want to see how much of an athlete a guy is. Great athletes can roll out of bed and rock it. So when you tell me you're waiting for your proday, to me it says you need the super specialized training and aren't just a naturally gifted athlete. But I'm sure a lot of it is just advice being given to these guys.

I also don't trust proday numbers nearly as much. Mykel Williams last year at the Georgia proday ran anywhere from a 4.8 something to a high 4.6 something depending on who you talked to.
