For those who have access/can re-watch: what was the 3rd and goal call for Dallas in OT, right after the Micah "sack" that Dak threw incomplete? Curious as to what it was supposed to be and whether Dak had any better options.

Just watched it... Appears to me that Flournoy was dragging across and was the read the entire time. He was practically triple covered so Dak just threw it out of the back of the endzone.

Williams was wide open at about the five. There was a safety at about the goalline, but given JW's power and slipperyness, I'd give him a pretty decent chance of scoring there.

I think that was the one that he got pressured and threw it away in the back corner of the endzone.
 
And since I had it pulled up, here's more on that BS "sack" call. Note the position of the NBC blue LOS line in pic 1 vs pic 2.

Dak actually gained a foot or so but they awarded a sack anyway. :doh

I thought Dak mentioned Ferg was open but he missed it because he came open late.

Hmm, watched it again and Ferg is offset on the left side off Thomas, he sort of delay releases and is open at the goalline, but it appears to me that Dak is looking right almost from the get-go. But maybe Ferg isn't even finished with his route and Dak has already come off him.

Have to say that Ferg doesn't appear to come off the ball and get into his route with a lot of urgency. Maybe he was just tired or maybe he didn't expect the ball, not sure.
 
Well, count me as one of the guys who doesn’t think we lost a lot with the Parsons trade. The Cowboys exposed his 2 biggest flaws…run at him and double team him.
Now, my focus is on the Jones Retard Carnival using the stockpile of picks they’ll have a shot at thanks to the trade.
Unfortunately, like I pointed out earlier Jones will always be the eternal optimist thinking that we’re way closer then we really are when you have a game like what we had last night.

Re-sign Pickens, go BPA between QB, RB and defense with all the picks, easy.

But you're right, the Retard Carnival will inevitably fuck something up royally.

Dak missed several open reads that might have changed the game significantly but otherwise I thought he played pretty damn well.

Strange decision to put Turd on him when he ran Dak down to force FG.

Yeah I guess Ferg was the check down option. Dak basically said he didn't see it when the play was going on because he knew that he sort of had to make a quick decision and didn't want to risk anything by holding the ball too long. Basically he didn't get that far in the progression. So my guess is what Ferg was doing was sort of intentional.

That's the funny thing a QB can play out of his mind. Dak was insanely good. And even in a game like that there is stuff he can do better. Like that throw to Tolbert he missed as an example. But QB's are never really perfect. But getting close makes a guy pretty special.

I've been highly critical of him in the past but I have zero complaints about his performance last night. He seems to be making fewer unforced errors, IMO. He's never going to be elite, but I feel if he can continue to work within his limitations, he can have a productive last few years. There are plenty who have done this in the past. Brad Johnson and Jim Plunkett come to mind.

Watching it live last night, I think it’s the same play to win at Pittsburgh last year.

His performance last night was one of the best QB performances of the season, maybe the best considering we were down Lamb and two starting OL against what was statistically one of the best defenses in the league so far, with one of the best pass rushes.

He's inconsistent though and when he gets in a funk he struggles to get out of it, which has been his main problem over the years, but when he's on he's absolutely one of the best QB's in the league.
