Much better games yesterday than Saturday. Was very impressed with all of them (Houston on defense at least.)
I can't remember the last time I thought we were this far away from the top teams when our QB was totally healthy.
What a great Monday morning this is.
After watching the Texans get eliminated yesterday, I'm convinced of one thing....

But Geng, all those flaws you mentioned and those teams are still light years better than us. At least the way they played this weekend, SF excluded... we couldn't even compete with that kind of play. I'm not talking about talent so much, although they're more talented than us. I'm mostly talking about the way they hit and how hard they played.
Of course a lot of that is coaching, which makes me hate Jerry as much as I've hated him in a long time. To see what Ben Johnson is doing with what was a total rag tag team under Eberflus is sickening compared to what we have to look at every week. Especially considering that Jerry had zero interest in him or Vrabel.

This year's team couldn't because we had arguably the worst defense in team history with a joke DC.
If you take this years offense and give them the 18th ranked defense in the league we could compete with anybody.
I think we'd still lose to Seattle and the Rams because they're more balanced with better defenses, but we could definitely compete and even beat them if we got some breaks with turnovers and such.
Maybe, but a couple of things: I'm not convinced our offense was really as great as the numbers say. I think that terrible defense helps our offense's numbers. It's a lot easier to put up numbers when you're down two scores than when it's a three-point game. And the offense did bog down later in the year and especially in the red zone. This year's team couldn't because we had arguably the worst defense in team history with a joke DC.

And also, I'd agree that yes, we could beat those teams in the regular season. But I'm thinking of the playoffs. Those teams turned up the intensity yesterday because it was the playoffs. Somehow every team seems to do that except us.![]()
Yeah I mean it was a lollipop but its hard to throw that bailing backwards and fading away. But ultimately it was a hail Mary pass. I have a hard time giving credit for it.
He has a good arm but not a cannon. But he did a good job getting juice on the ball.
The Beagles still have talent and the 49ers lost more blue chip and starting talent this year than most teams have and still made the playoffs.I feel the opposite. There are some very good defenses out there, but there really don't seem to be any truly great teams overall. I don't get the sense that we're that far away from these teams.
New England doesn't have a whole lot of really good weapons on offense, and Maye turns the ball over at least with fumbles.
Denver doesn't have a lot of great weapons either and Nix makes a lot of mistakes.
Houston, I mean we saw how retarded Stroud is.
Buffalo...no comment.
Chicago, their defense is very mediocre and their QB is horribly inaccurate.
SF, McCaffery is in decline and maybe rapidly. Their WR room needs an overhaul. Their defense is a mismashed mess and needs to get healthy. Kittle just went down again. Purdy kind of folds under pressure.
Seattle is limited by Darnold who makes a lot of dumb mistakes.
The Rams have an aging QB, mediocre RBs, some holes on defense, and their offensive line didn't look wonderful against a mediocre Bears team.
If we can get the defense to mediocre we absolutely belong in that same mix, good but flawed.
Jesus, that sounds like the most disgusting game of Twister I have ever heard. Now, excuse me while I go spray bleach in my eyes so I will never have to read anything like that again.because they are undermined, playing with a hand tied behind their back having to jerk off the Jones and occasionally stroke Charlotte
Guys like Parcells and McCarthy, they get old and can’t keep doing that stuffJesus, that sounds like the most disgusting game of Twister I have ever heard. Now, excuse me while I go spray bleach in my eyes so I will never have to read anything like that again.
So the Bears and Rams held a secret practice where they drilled that last miracle play for this exact situation down seven before overtime?I find this to be quite hilarious that the line on the Bears / Rams game was Bears + 3.5 ….so without that “ miracle “ catch … the Rams win by 7 and cover the 3.5 point spread…. But instead a TE is left wide open for the game tying TD … the game goes to OT and Rams not only win by 3 …now not covering the spread …. Tell me again this isn’t rigged .
Did I say that?So the Bears and Rams held a secret practice where they drilled that last miracle play for this exact situation down seven before overtime?
