Yeah I honestly had the same thought. When a guy like Bass, an UDFA who has been with the team for a few years as a depth guy can step in and you don't see any big drop off, you have to sort of question the impact of using that top pick on a guard only player. I think our O-line coach is doing a masterful job (Or OC who was a former Oline coach). When you have that type of coaching on the O-line I really don't think you need 3 first round picks to make it work.

Yeah, you've got to spread resources around a little better otherwise you end up with perpetual deficits on your team like we've seen over the last 10 or 15 years. We should be trading down more frequently.

Here's Rico Dowdle so far in case anyone is curious.

He's a jag, like I've always said.

Yeah, not shocked at all. He was nice for us last season but he isn't nearly as good as Jevonte this year.

Can't forget it was his first time to ever play in a real NFL game and it was in this pressure packed setting of SNF vs an excellent opponent.

Side note, the "What do you see" is such a lame engagement tactic.

He's obviously one of the top 3, which is why he was the guy to go in when Steele and Guyton went out.

But yea, I think he really might be the best one if he can maintain that level of play over a large sample. He locked up Gary and Van Ness pretty well a few times, Parsons was the only one who gave him trouble really.

Yep. top 3.

1. Steele at RT
2. Steele at LT
3. Thomas
4. Guyton
