I'm honestly considering being done with this team. Why should I continue to root for this shit?

This isn't even about money.

A player, one of the best in the league mind you, is practically BEGGING them to extend him at less than market value. Multiple times.

But nope.

They're petty assholes that don't give a FUCK about winning.

Trading him would be like Jerry giving up on the season, and that is so unlike him. Expect Micah to be playing in Philly Thursday night.

I think he'll be holding out if his tweet is any indication.

Yea, my issue isn't so much the idea of trading him or not, it's the fact that this organization operates like a grotesque caricature of a very stupid, closedminded inbred family business.

If they made a strategic decision to trade Parsons, fine. If they decided to extend him, fine.

But getting caught in between because of pure pettiness and ego?

Unless Micah is asking for the moon, which I doubt (at least compared to what the market currently is), it's pure insanity.

Sorry, I find it hard to believe that he begged for a contract under market value and they wouldn't even talk to him?

I know these guys are idiots, but that makes no sense. I mean it's not like Jerry hasn't always paid his star players.

Calvin Watkins is saying on the Ticket right now that Stephen has wanted to pay him but Jerry is the one saying, no, we need to wait. Doesn't know why.

The only bad scenarios here are:

1. Trading him for peanuts (i.e. anything less than the equivalent of two 1's and change)
2. Giving him an outlandish extension around 45+ per year

Just figure out anything else, although knowing these fools they'll probably work themselves into one of those two.

Exactly. This isn't about Micah, it's about whether the ownership cares about winning or about their egos and money.

They could have decided to trade Micah and I'd get it even if I don't agree with it. That's at least strategic, right or wrong.

But this? This is bullshit. This is ego. Them refusing to even engage in negotiations is unconscionably absurd.

I don't see why Micah would lie about that.

It's not like we haven't seen this team act petty and retarded before (the whole Amari situation for example), even to the detriment to the team.
