In all reality, he should go along life’s journey. Look at how it worked out for Tyron Smith. At this stage, it is about financial wealth. He could easily do that elsewhere and he should be encouraged to do so.
 
He's right, but our FO are too busy sticking coal up their asses hoping to shit out gold.

If the price is two 1's that's stupid, but I'd be fine with pretty much anything else aside from our 1 and 2 this year. Would be fine with our 1 this year and 2 next year.

He's trying to keep people spending money on the team.

I do think they think they're going to be competitive.

The problem is they have an unrealistic view of the team.

They need a bunch more good players, and where the roster is at, it really requires free agency if they want to be contenders. There are too many holes for the draft to be the only method of improvement.

Except they'll try to use the draft as the only method of improvement, which makes his words hollow. It's a roll of the dice to believe their own propaganda rather than to just use everything at their disposal to improve.

The numbers just do not backup what he says. Cherry picking one contract and ignoring the entire rest of the roster and lack of spending speaks volumes.

The deal needs to get done with the appropriate timing, for example the complete opposite of Lamb.

I bet when Jerry takes Baulding to the movies, he refuses to buy him popcorn or a coke because he's so mad admission doesn't cost a nickel like it used to.

I bet they'll extend Parsons and Osa between now and the first few days of FA and call it a day, aside from the obligatory Olawale signings of course.

The best we could hope for are signing a few average starters like Will Hernandez.
