Wino ST coach back to the gutter?

Oh you established it alright. Trash would be a nice way to put it.

I mean I get what he is saying. And trash is a perfect word for it. You play conservative you expect to stop explosive plays. We didn't do that. We didn't play aggressive. We just had zero identity of anything we were trying to do.

I looked up "yardage differential" for the league since tomorrow will obviously distort things and it's pretty hilarious. It's just a straight measurement of yards gained vs. yards given up.

Top 10 (in order) - Rams, Bills, Patriots, Broncos, Jaguars, Saints, Lions, Seahawks, Texans, Bears

Bottom 10 (in order) - Jets, Eagles, Browns, Dolphins, Panthers, Bucs, Titans, Steelers, Raiders, Bengals

Obviously this isn't a perfect metric by any means (i.e. the Saints are an obvious outlier), but generally speaking the better teams will have more yards gained than given up, and the worst teams in the league will have more yards given up than yards gained, and I think you can see that reflected in the teams in the top 10 vs. bottom 10.

We're 14th overall, so right in the middle, which makes sense given that we have a top 5 offense and a bottom 2 defense, but it's hilarious to me that the trash ass Eagles are solidly in the bottom 10, flanked by teams like the Jets, Browns and Titans.

I know people love to say "but they win", which is really just a hand wavy way of saying "I don't want to think too much about it beyond the records".

And by the way they were 2nd in the league last year in yards differential because they were an actual legit team, but now that Barkley is cooked they're a trash turtle team who relies on their defense (who is legit themselves) to narrowly win low-scoring, rock fight games.

The only difference between this Darnold team and last year's Minnesota team is this one has an elite defense.

If they didn't I'd expect exactly what happened last year to Minnesota to happen this year.

One and done in the playoffs.

The Rams are the only team I trust to stop the Eagles from repeating as NFC Champs.

The Bears could beat them as well, but they're one of those teams who aren't as good as their record. They've benefited from a lot of good fortune this year.

I think any of the NFC West teams can (and probably will) beat them.

There's no chance they'd win at Seattle without Darnold turning it over 3 times.
