if we had a nose.

He is full of shit. He isn't paying Parsons an extra 5 mil by doing the deal early. They do it for the attention and they do it because they don't take risks. For all the wild cat shit Jerry did early in his career with the Cowboys, he is terrified of it now and getting burned. So he waits until the last second to get a check. The man all but says it when he mentions he doesn't mind Parsons not being out there because he can't get hurt. It's the same reason our version of "all in" is really just an average NFL offseason. And most offseasons we are closer to the lowest level of spending and activity.

Rosie is so full of shit her eyes are brown.

I watched that and he was getting really pissy about the questions, too. Didn't like being called out at all and was being kind of a bitch.

They're extremely insular and like an island unto themselves. The contract negotiations are basically handled by nobody but Stephen and some dipshit waiter who has been around for 20 years because he went to the same frat as Stephen, of course they're going to be delusional about their own capabilities and not like being called out from their normal echo chamber.

They are the unqualified who suddenly became “qualified” through years of fumbling about like fools. Cap waiter guy would not find a new job if the Cowboys disappeared.

So I guess there's some scuttlebutt with the media people that T. Smith is close to getting paid?... And Bland maybe right behind that.

You got links or tweets or something?

It wouldn't be surprising in either case, especially Tyler since his agent was just at camp.

No, just Broaddus and Lombardi saying several of the media people around the team are saying it's close.

Yea, there's been so much open public chatter about it that it wouldn't be surprising. I'm sure the Parsons situation is a little extra motivation for Stephen and his fuckboi so they can show everyone that they don't drag their feet.

I feel like they are doing it as some type of "make Parsons panic" move.

They want to prove to Parsons that they're running out of pie, so he has to take less.

That's sort of what I feel like which I doubt will have any impact. The only thing it might do is spook Parsons that they are opening the franchise tag up to use on him next offseason.

But honestly I'll never understand the Cowboys mentality. Just sign the dude or trade him. Why play these games of pissing off your star player to in the end save 0 dollars.

And in fact pay more.

They are doing it their way, baby!

Failing for 30 years and counting.
