Steele was coming off a worse injury and was never really as good as Ferguson to begin with, I think they actually paid Steele higher relative to his position as well.

I'm not really worried about Ferguson's play or talent level relative to the deal because I've said plenty of times recently that I think he's a good bet to get back to his 2023 level. My bigger concern is that a better player at a more impactful position leaves (Pickens or Bland) because they already committed a deal to Ferguson.

Yep and when it doesn't work out long term we will hear that as another Steele, Diggs or whatever contract as the reason why we shouldn't get contracts done early. Even though these dopes don't realize they aren't getting the obvious ones done early.

His deal is pretty cheap. It shouldn't impact anything. The only worry I have with Ferg is the concussions. Those can become a big deal really quickly in the NFL.
 
I'm actually pretty bullish on Ferg. It's easy to forget how good he was in 2023. I bet this one works out okay. I just hope it doesn't impact Bland.

I lean towards believing Micah.

100 % believe Micah over those snake oil salesmen…..Micah came out publicly saying he would sign for the hometown discount because he wants to be a Cowboy…. A person who states that shoulda been signed a long long time ago ….stupidity in its purest form
