Technically he came back to play from it late last season. So is he still coming off an Achilles? And still only 27 years old. And he was cheaper than the other top LBers.

I would have. But anyway, these 3 year deals are for the crazy NFL teams. They clearly don't understand that a 3+ year deal in free agency is the death of a franchise.

Exactly. By today's standards that's not much at all, and the third year could even be fake money.

Maybe they thought he says too much of a tweener between end and 3T or something, but I thought he made some plays and steadily improved.
