Yep, which means we could probably go out and get a corner right now if we wanted. But we will wait a week and kick the tires on Gilmore or some bullshit.

Milton Williams is the 9th highest paid defensive player in the league by AAV, I'm not even sure he's a top 100 defensive player in the league.

We say it every year... Contracts go up, players get signed. It happens every year. If you need a starter who is any good, you're going to have to pay. And the market goes up every year.

And half the signings will flop. But the solution isn't to just ignore free agency either. It's to pick better free agent players.

A little bit more than ideal, but I like the Seahawks' strategy. They still have a #1 WR, dumped the malcontent WR who wouldn't accept being #2, upgraded at QB, and got a couple of high round picks in the process.
