I mean play action can open up a lot of things besides just deep balls. It helps suck LBers up to make crossing routes easier. It it often used on read option to throw the slant. And frankly with the jump ball ability that McMillian has a 1 vs 1 opportunity against a corner on a deep ball, you're completing that more times than not.
That's not to say Golden wouldn't be awesome with play action. They both would be. I don't agree that deep speed is the only thing that benefits from play action. Lamb does an awesome job taking advantage of play action for example and his deep speed is about the same as McMillan.
