Remember when we got another LSU guy for nothing?

Everybody wants to talk about how deep RB is and for good reason, but there are about 15 edge rushers who could go in the top 50 or so, and definitely within the first two rounds.

That's an edge rusher about every 4 picks, and I'd guess it'd probably be close to a record.

DT isn't as deep, but you have at least 5 guys who should go top 40ish, and I wouldn't be shocked if they all went in the first.

15? You might be a touch high on that.

Good class though.

It's definitely a bigger DT class this year. There are more 310 pound plus guys in this class. Not the greatest DT class if you're looking for the 290-300 pound 3 technique though.

By the way if the Cowboys wanted to draft a QB this year I think my sleeper would be Kyle McCord. He has the arm talent. He was ok at Ohio State but I think what impressed me most about him was that he went to Syracuse and lit it up. Taking that program to a 10-3 record is pretty impressive.

Anyway, just my thought on a dude if we really wanted to start developing a guy.

Maybe slightly but it'll be at least 12-13 in the first 2 rounds and I could see 15.

You have Carter, M. Williams, Pearce, Walker, Scourton, Stewart (A&M), Green, Ezeiruaku, Jackson, Tuimoloau, Kennard and Umanmielen who I think are locks to go in the first two rounds, that's 12.

Then throw in guys like Burch, Ivey, Dennis-Sutton, Sawyer and Stewart (Michigan) and you could easily see 14-15 go in the first two rounds.

My overall point is that this draft is especially strong at our primary needs (RB and DL) and kinda weak at some of our secondary needs like WR and CB. I think OL is pretty deep into the second as well but then drops off.

Sorry but we are not a proactive team. We are reactive.

Dumb ass.

I mean it was that or transfer. I think he should have transferred in all honesty. Would have gotten paid top dollar to do it too. I don't think he goes in the first round. I'm not even sure about the second.

Guess the NIL dollars weren't high enough or I'm sure he would have.

I mean he has played a good amount of college snaps. But I definitely think a year of getting things back on track would have given him a shot of working his way back into first round discussion. Maybe someone gave him bad advice about where he will get drafted. To some extent I'm sure QB know it's a weak class and can see the chance to jump up the rankings.

He might be someone who could sit a couple of seasons and develop but I wouldn't spend more than a 4th on him.

I think I'd sooner draft Kyle McCord. Big time prospect out of highschool. Won a bunch of games at Ohio State, went to Syracus and dominated as a passer. But that's just a shot in the dark like all of the QBs in this class. The only guy to really like much is actually Ward in my opinion. But he has some of that Winston in him where he just can't help but throw the ball places he shouldn't.
