2025 NFL Draft - 7th Round Pick - Jay Toia, DT, UCLA

Schwesinger is known for not being great at taking on blocks with physicality, so I'm guessing Toia was a big part of helping him produce as he did.
 
One of the quick little vids on Twitter I saw was two guys who looked like UCLA guys saying that very thing, that when you saw Schwesinger running to the ball and making so many tackles, it was because Toia was in front of him.

Schwesinger should have to pay him some of his signing bonus. I'll bet he's a bust.
 


He is already worlds better off the snap compared to Taco Mazi. The “quick twitch” is absent, it is not his weight.

Yep, the night we drafted him I watched a few of his games and was surprised by his explosiveness off the snap.

He also whipped the shit out of our 6th round RT in one of those clips.

It does seem like we have west coast scouts that are earning their chops. It does not take a special evaluator to creep Ann Arbor and Columbus all the time.
