Seriously, though, outside of Campbell’s injuries, that’s a solid draft. And I’m not a guy who generally likes RBs in the first round.

Broken record here, but DT is not just a hole, but a missing foundation

I could so see Dallas drafting this way and willfully ignoring the position again

This DT class goes beyond the second or third round. It's an excellent DT class. And I agree we need at least one more DT who can play legit NFL snaps right now. Not a project but a guy who can stop the run, knock guys around and push the pocket. First, second, third, fifth round. We need to take one. That's all there is to it. And preferably not someone who is 350 pounds and can't move.

Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona

The Cowboys could go in a number of different directions, but Dak Prescott's best season came in 2021, when he had CeeDee Lamb and Amari Cooper running routes. Since then, Dallas hasn't really had a standout WR2 opposite Lamb. McMillan, though, reminds me of Keyshawn Johnson. He can play in the slot or outside at the X position. And while he is not a true burner, he plays fast. McMillan had 33 catches on balls thrown 20 or more yards downfield over his three seasons at Arizona, which shows his outstanding ability to track the deep ball.

Keyshawn was more like a TE than a WR. I don't see that comparison at all.

I very much like McMillan. But I won't get my hopes up.

The pick: Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas

After losing Jourdan Lewis in free agency, the Cowboys have a vacancy at nickel corner. Barron can fill that as a rookie while offering long-term upside on the perimeter, where Trevon Diggs and DaRon Bland currently start. Diggs has battled health issues the past two seasons and Bland is a free agent after 2025. Enter Barron, who had five interceptions last season and has the instincts and physicality to be a quality piece in multiple spots on the back end.

I'd be shocked because of his lack of length. Of course if he was 6'1" with longer arms he would probably be a top 10 pick with everything else staying the same.
 
I really like Tuten. Hoping if we draft him we can develop his receiving skills

Speaking of Kaleb, I soured on him a little when I saw some endzone shots of some of his runs and he had more room than it looked like from the standard TV view. Might explain that 4.6 a little bit. Not saying he sucks or anything, but if I'm spending a high pick, I'd like a little more juice. I can probably get a Neal later if I want a 4.6 guy. Speed isn't everything, but this offense desperately needs more big plays.

Did you see the number of big plays he ripped off? There is a reason he had some of the best yards after contact. I'm an Iowa fan so I get I'm biased but that dude was a big play waiting to happen. Partially because he is kind of like Derrick Henry, once that weight gets moving he is impossible to tackle. I think the 40 time doesn't match the tape. Which I get some will say I'm only saying that because it's Kaleb. But the guy tore off a lot of big runs.

And mind you it was in an offense that couldn't pass their way out of a wet paper sack. He was the offense.
