I might be the outlier, but I was very impressed with Daniels. I don't think he was just lucky or fortunate or whatever.

That said, Kingsbury's offenses always seem to start hot and then people figure them out, so I wouldn't be surprised to see that happen again.

He's good but it's a perfect example of what happens in the NFL when QB's get elevated (or shit on) largely based on things outside of their control or due to unlikely circumstances.

My point is that their roster is weaker than meets the eye and they needed a lot of very "fortuitous" things to all go their way last year. Daniels playing well was a big part of them winning as many games as they did, but to me that was 9ish win team that got very lucky in several games.

I also suspect that when the pressure builds (i.e. when every little random thing doesn't go their way and when they aren't converting 4th downs at a 80% clip) Daniels will fall back on his running ability, which will wear him down as the year goes on.

Agree, and as skinny as he is, I don't think it will be too much longer before they don't want him running much anymore.

You saw him consciously limiting the runs last year as the wins piled up around midseason, but when the pressure was truly on he still ran like a chicken with his head cut off, particularly in the Falcons game to clinch a playoff spot when they had to literally take a timeout to let him recover from all the running he was doing.

I think when the luck starts evening out and they're sitting at 6-5ish instead of 8-3ish like last year, that's when you'll see him falling back more on his legs, and that's what I'm very curious to see.

Now batting, for your Dallas Cowboys...

Stephen Jones & Adaaaaaam "cap guy" Prasifka!!!!

Had no idea he was leading the league in FG percentage. Crazy.
