You'd think someone like Mac Engel would know better.
Amazing how other teams wheel and deal with no regard to the salary cap.Jaguars sure do have a lot of pie for a team with a retarded QB contract like the Cowboys do.
He'd be a nice 4th CB but you can't count on him as one of your top 3 guys unless you're not actually trying to win.
Yeah I figured maybe as a third corner corner backup option if Carson just flat out blows.
But we aren't signing a good starting corner. If we were I'd want Byron Murphy or Asante Samuel. But like you said, that's not happening.
The CB market is drying up pretty quick with Ward now signing with the Colts.
As an aside, 20M/year seems to be about what it'll take for Bland based on these signings.
Kristian Fulton might be a decent Stephen-priced signing.
Yep the top guys left would be Byron Murphy and Asante Samuel Jr. I actually really like Byron Murphy. I'd sign him over some of these other guys very easily. But my guess is he wants to get paid. Asante Samuel Jr. might just be sitting around because he is coming off an injury. Those always take additional time to check out.
Kristian Fulton probably is the next best option still available after those two.
Then you get down into the Rasul Douglas, Stephon Gilmore, Mike Hilton and Mike Jackson types (Hey, remember when we drafted him? Yep he has been starting games still in the NFL).
Murphy is going to get somewhere close to 20/year, absolutely 0% chance we pay that.
I could see Fulton as one of the higher end options (for Stephen) but someone like Jackson seems way more likely.
It is funny how guys we let go or gave up on in Ward and Jackson have stuck around. Guess that means something, huh?Michael Jackson went back to the Panthers for 2/14 by the way.
