2024 Season | Divisional Round Weekend | Gameday Chatter Thread | 1/18/2025 - 1/19/2025

I sort of hate that in this day and age I would consider going for that TD, just because it seems like today it's so common for teams to go the length of the field and score a TD.

No way in hell would I consider that. Go up by eight every time. Even if they manage to score a TD, they still need a 2 pt to TIE. Not giving them a chance to beat me if I fail to score on 4th and goal. What are the odds they score the TD if they do go for it? 50% 60% 70%? Nope. Not doing it.

Imagine if your coach decided to go for it there, didn't make it, and lost on a TD.

Yeah. I'd want him dead, too.

Wow.

Jared Goff with a shit game
Marc Andrews with a shit game

People will blame the TE for dropping that, but that was a terrible pass from Jackson. Tried to baby it in there too easy and left it a little short, making what should have been an easy catch tougher. Should it have been caught? Of course. But it was still a bad throw. Throw a regular pass and profit.

I would have kicked the FG also, but that easy TD is what I was talking about. You could just end the game if you get one yard. Andrews catches that and you're looking at OT.

It's just weird how this happens almost every game now with good teams/QBs. Kind of hate it, actually.

But getting that TD is far from guaranteed. I kick the FG to go up by 8 every time. No questions asked.

Just for arguments sake, lets say Buffalo did go for it and didn't get in. Then the Ravens go down like they did and score. Now Buffalo needs to drive in the snow to kick a FG. Going from no worse than a tie, to now needing everything to go right or you lose? No thanks.

Buffalo finally beats KC next week and then wins the SB.

That dropped pass brings back shades of Lee Evans dropping that TD vs the Patriots in 2011.

It's destiny, Buffalo is going to win their first SB against the one NFC East team they didn't play in the 90's.

Damn....I didn't think about that.

If the Eagles do make it and lose, that would be a great thing to have over them.

You're the only NFC East team to lose to Buffalo in a SB.

:laff

All four losers outgained the winners. I wonder if that's ever happened before.
