They just love doing dumb shit in slow motion.

At least if they were proactive they could potentially realize cap savings. For example, if they extended Parsons over the next few months it'd probably look something like 5 years/$180 million, instead they're going to drag their heels and dick around for a year or two and it'll end up being 5 years/$200 million.

It's amazing because a few years ago Stephen said his biggest regret was not extending Dak earlier, yet here they are, painted into the exact same corner having learned nothing.

These are just the dumbest people imaginable when it comes to running a football team.

It's literally unbelievable that they have one of the top 5-7 regular season records in the league over the last decade or so, and a testament to how well we've drafted over that time.

They may help make deals but they don't help make good deals. They instead motivate Jerry and Stephen to get something done. They don't make guys like Dak, Ceedee and Parsons get something done. Those guys have already put their body on the line by the time that deadline comes. The players at that point would be just as happy to walk and get paid or sit and get paid. But you know Jerry lives by this philosophy. Even a half brain dead dope could explain this to him that his logic only hurts him financially.
 
For some reason the 2021 Raiders game is on NFLN right now and you know what, I don't even care, I'm going to be excited like usual when the season starts. Even if FA sucked, it's still football. Just wish they hadn't signed Zeke, but oh well.
