Trade him to Washington while his value is at its highest.

Wait, there is a black college pro player award? WTF does that even mean?

Want to know why nothing changes? To the Jones Boys this is practically perfect.

My God, a 44% operating margin. Compare to a team like the Lions at 10.

They aren't incentivized or desperate to win, that's all there is to it.

In Jerry's mind he's already won 3, I don't think Stephen cares much (it's more of a "nice to have"), so that's why they're more than happy to sacrifice a year like they are 2024 to set themselves up over the next 5 years to operate the way they like to.

The players are basically highly paid mascots.

Whatever it is, I have never heard of it before. And it does appear their standard of excellence needs some adjustment.

"College Pro" makes zero sense.

I wondered what kind of idiocracy that was.

We all complain about it, we know it won't happen because they're too comfortable, but I still wish the media would call them out on this stuff.

Would it change them, no. But at least it might make them a tad uncomfortable, even if for just a minute.

There will never be another MacMahon.

Well it has been around since 2019, you need to get down with it. Houston’s Tyus Howard won it last year.

Past winners of the NFLPA Black College Football Pro Player of the Year*:
2022:
Grover Stewart (Indianapolis Colts)
2021: Terron Armstead (New Orleans Saints)
2020: Javon Hargrave (Pittsburgh Steelers)
2019: Darius Leonard (Indianapolis Colts) and Tarik Cohen (Chicago Bears)
2018: Antoine Bethea (Arizona Cardinals)
*Denotes player’s team at the time he was honored

I still don't understand what "college pro" means. Are they awarding them for their college days, or pro days? I won't even get into to the whole black thing.

Jerry has a muzzle on the Dallas-area media based on how the relationships have evolved, just like any good authoritarian who doesn't want to be questioned.

It's not 1998 anymore (or even 2008).

We almost need someone from a national company like ESPN who doesn't see Dallas as the top job. Like someone who wouldn't mind upsetting Jerry because they see this job as a stepping stone from covering one team to covering the entire league.

But I know it won't happen. :sad

ESPN is as much in bed with the league as the Dallas-area media is with the Cowboys, if not more.

And which owner plays an extremely prominent role in the league's media negotiations and business dealings?

Yep.

Maybe when Jerry is gone Stephen or whoever else won't have as much sway, but who really knows.

just ask him to explain that operating margin being so much higher than the rest of the league. Sit back and wait to hear about RPO and leaves falling.
