So, who's up for some Scrabble? We have been on topic way too long for Booze's taste.
 
I have a gripe.

When the fuck did everyone decide that WR was the second most important position in football and the top should be paid 30+ mil per year. Dumb as fuck to me.

Here's a random question: What are the odds that the current defensive players don't do well with the Zimmer change? I'm thinking not just of the Xs and Os, but of how Zim is more of a taskmaster personality who won't be their bro and will demand they play with discipline and his technique?

I think Zimmer is a good coach and I have no problem with him at all, but I do wonder if some of our coddled darlings will rebel a bit. They're used to having more freedom under Quinn, and this style probably won't yield as many flashy stats like sacks and turnovers that get players the big contracts.

There could be a few guys like that, but Zimmer usually comes through with good defenses so I think it'll work out at least to a decent level one way or another. If a few individuals fall away so be it. The bottom line is what matters.
 
Parsons is setting up for potential head butt. Zimmer better have Carte Blanche to back Parsons down if needed.

I doubt it.

Zimmer has been around forever so I don't think he is likely to Bull in a China Shop his way through coaching Parsons. He's capable of nuance.

Also, players who produce tend to get a lot of leeway.

Kendricks was brought on to provide knowledge and to help buffer against soft players getting crosswise with a stern coach .

Yeah good luck to Zimmer who has a year to year contract versus the dude that is about to become the highest paid defensive player ever. Just that alone makes this funny, not to mention the fact that it is just not in the Cowboys‘ Culture for superstars to respond positively to a stricter change.

If the Cowboys' Culture at the ownership level is not accountable and not serious about winning, why should the superstar players be any different?
