and it's because this offseason has been so awful that the draft almost feels a little meaningless and empty.

That's exactly why I don't care about it and won't be watching.

Outside of doing something unheard of like getting 4 or 5 year 1 starters out of this draft (not going to happen), we're going to go into this season with more holes than we had last season.

Basically, we're going to be a weaker team and that will be a direct result of the WGAS attitude by the organization.

So if those MF'ers aren't going to care, neither will I.

That’ll show ‘em.

If it happens it's not because you found 5 legit starters. It's because your team has so many holes that you may have to play a rookie RB, Center, LT, DT, LBer or WR. Ultimately, with only 3 picks in the first 4 rounds, you'd be lucky to plug more than a couple holes immediately. Maybe you find a fifth or sixth round gem like Bland. That's a big maybe.

I’m going to watch if I have nothing better to do since it’s what I’ve always done but I’m not buying Sunday Ticket this year.

Feels like a sub .500 year already.

I'm not going to watch but I haven't watched in many years. I'll probably follow online.

One more thing about the PC yesterday... Jerry was trying to give McCarthy some credit (after hogging the mic for almost 12 opening minutes) and said Mike was good with OL, etc. He said (paraphrasing), "Mike has been busting me good about an OL he wanted last year that we didn't get."

Ideas on who that could be? Mike was arguing for Mazi on the first round vid from last year, but who knows if he just thought that was who Jerry wanted anyway.

Or, I wonder if there was someone in the second. It was always suspicious to me that they never showed video of the Schoon pick. Makes me wonder if there was discord on that pick.

Lions just made Sewell the highest paid OL.

Weird how these teams can find money.

Sucks rooting for the team owned by guys begging for money at stop lights.

I'm more at a point that even if it's a 10, 11 or 12 win season it won't feel much different than a 5 win season. You're still going to come to the same end, the same questions, the same problems and it's just going to be more of the same. Even if Dak wins 12 games with this paper thin roster, even if McCarthy wins 12 games with this mediocre roster, at the end of the day McCarthy isn't going to get his extension and Dak is going to carry the can't win in the playoffs tag. And this year more than ever, I don't believe we can do anything in the playoffs.

The only OL I am aware of that they were debating is Bergeron.

That's what really sucks IMO. The older I get, the more I appreciate coaching that gets the most out of the players they have available, no matter the final record or playoff progression.

But this year, they could do a great job of maximizing the talent on the team and everyone will still get fired. Well, I'm not sure Dak would. But Jerry will just bring in some whiz kid and be smirking under his toupee just like he was yesterday.

Yeah, I kind of feel like McCarthy is actually a really good coach. And that moving on from him would be a mistake. I think he is taking the players he is given as far as one can expect.

I'm normally on the optimistic side of things, but if they don't give a shit, why should I?

Exactly. When they lost, I used to still be fucked up about it on Thursday. Those days are gone.
