Now it makes sense that his agent is floating the idea that he'd have a healthy market if cut. He's trying to say Gallup has leverage and doesn't need to agree to reduce his salary.

I just want him to go away. He isn't helpful. He is limiting our offense. Let him be free and enjoy that robust market.

I don't even want him back at 4 mil. This shouldn't be a discussion it should be an execution. Figuratively speaking of course.

This is shocking to me but it's kind of nice to know where we're going in the first round now. I would imagine this means they'll re-sign Biadasz because going into the draft with two glaring holes on the OL doesn't seem like a great idea.

I don't think they know what they're going to do with Tyler.

If the best OL on the board is someone like Guyton, yea he's likely staying at LG for next year at least. If it's someone like Fautanu or Barton who are better suited for the interior I think you'll see him shift back out to LT.

Tyler Smith to LT, Bass to LG. No glaring holes on the left side.
 
Owning is a dipshit.

Steele will be back to himself a year removed from the ACL, and Tyler Smith is a Pro Bowl level LT... one who actually practices and plays most weeks.

Though I think like Simp said, if an OT they love falls to them, maybe they leave Tyler at G. I doubt the draftee be as good as Tyler, though. Guy is a stud.

Amen. Guess I'm in a mood today, but I'm tired of his over the top happy-go-lucky smiley attitude. We need more meanness at that position, especially since Tolbert is already on the soft side.

Maybe but you're also kind of hanging by a shoestring at OT, any injury to either Tyler or Steele would completely fuck the OL.

If we drafted a guy like Guyton with the plan of starting him at LT/Tyler at LG you have cover at RT with Guyton being able to shift over, and LT with Tyler being able to shift out. Same goes for Mims, although he is more of a projection at LT.

I guess you could get really wild in the one scenario where you take Barton at 24 to theoretically start at center with the contingency of being able to move him out to LT.

With all that said, I don't think Biadasz is terrible, he's an average to slightly above average starter and you have to find the right balance on price with someone like that. Something along the lines of what McGovern got last year would make a lot of sense and be perfectly reasonable.
 


I don't fault them for having a particular price in mind for someone like Tyron who is likely going to retire after 2024, and especially when considering that this is literally the strongest OL class in at least a decade. It makes more sense to strike there while the iron is hot, rather than kick the can down the road and be forced into it a year or two from now in a likely much weaker OL class.

With that said, the key is using the money you'd save on Tyron elsewhere, like on the front 7. My issue is that they're unlikely to do anything with it and will do their same old dicking around in FA.
