Right, so literally anything is "all-in" because all that means is they're trying to win.

Trading up in the draft is all-in, but so is trading down in the draft... because see, we made the effort to now have seven draft picks instead of six.

Also, I say this a lot and we all know it, but it seems to get more gross every year the way King Jerry holds court and these pathetic writers (sometimes literally) sit at his feet and lap up everything he says. He never gets challenged on anything. Why the hell aren't there any Galloways or Hansens anymore.

Because he has backroom deals with the media outlets and will take away access from reporters if they don't play by his rules.

Then they need to call his bluff on that. There's no way if someone at ESPN is critical of Jerry he's going to deny access for Todd Archer, for instance. Or the DMN.

I think it's more that they see Jerry himself as an interesting sideshow just as much as the team. And it seems to me that as he gets older, they almost have more sympathy for him, like we all do for most elderly people. The 55 year old Jerry was a lot easier to hate. (But that's no excuse.)

Yep he's trying to justify that stupid trade.

If you interpret what he said another way, basically we gave up a 4th on a backup QB who may or may not beat out the 2nd string. And who we'll have to resign while hoping we never actually get to see him play a meaningful snap, and probably will walk in FA regardless because some other team will probably give him a shot to start that he won't get here behind our $60+ million starting QB.

Great move. Really made a lot of sense.

Yeah maybe he is a good player. But I don't get the plan. So you have him for a year as a good backup. Last year he was a roster spot and that's it. Then what? His contract is up. You exercising the fifth year option? You going to make him your Dak replacement a year from now and pay him starting QB money? Trade chip sounds nice, but he is going to have to play to make his value more than a fourth that you gave up. By the time he plays any he is a free agent.
 


While the fucker lies a lot, he often drops clues. This comment tells me the player they get starts right away.

That tells me that the position flex thing will factor. We will likely need a center, but they may be a reach.

That goes back to BPA and it might even just be a WR to start, pushing Cooks to the slot.

I don't think there was a plan. I think Jerry wanted to flex on everyone by showing he doesn't have to consult with anyone to make a trade anytime he wants to. Make sure everyone knows who's still the boss around here.

Center won't be a reach at all assuming they view Barton as a potential center, I still think there's a decent chance they resign Biadasz though so we'll see.
