IF she is talking about the opener against the Giants in 1995, it wasn't Starter, it was the Apex logo that they wore, (although Russell still provided the jerseys)
Colin Cowherd just posted a very sobering set of stats to prove how average Dak is:
30+ Rush Attempts: Dak is 53-7
Fewer than 30 Rush Attempts: Dak is 20-34
If the team has 100+ Rush Yards in a Game: Dak is 64-17
If the team has less than 100 Rush Yards in a Game: Dak is 9-24
Umm...that's not good. A real franchise QB should be able to put a team on his back and win if the running game struggles. 9 wins when the team runs for less than 100 yards? NINE????
Now, I fully recognize that Colin Cowherd is biased and not particularly objective on just about anything even though he claims to be, but those numbers are quite damning. Even with suspect coaching, it still demonstrates how dependent Dak is on a strong running game.
Agreed. But, to me, it also shows that you don't invest $60M a year on a guy who can't win without a dominant running game. What is every other QB's record in those situations though? This needs context.
All this tells me is we should stop dicking around with the running game.

Romo was a perennial loser in win and in games until we invested in the OL and had Murray.Agreed. But, to me, it also shows that you don't invest $60M a year on a guy who can't win without a dominant running game.
And I was on record multiple times back then that I didn't want him to get paid a huge deal, either, because of his tendencies to melt down mentally when it mattered.Romo was a perennial loser in win and in games until we invested in the OL and had Murray.
Those kinds of numbers are very misleading. Remember back in the day when we'd see something like 'The Cowboys are 60-3 when Emmitt Smith has 20 carries or more." Well.... yeah. When a team is behind, they run less.Colin Cowherd just posted a very sobering set of stats to prove how average Dak is:

“If thats the worst thing that ever happens “ to Tony ….Romo was a perennial loser in win and in games until we invested in the OL and had Murray.

While Dak, who has also accomplished a huge bucket of nothing, is looking to be the highest paid player in NFL history. I wouldn’t be able to tell him to go fuck himself fast enough.Plus, when he did get his, he was nowhere near the highest paid player in the league.
True but you'd still like to see that win/loss record be a lot closer to .500 in games the Cowboys rush for fewer than 100 yards. Those kinds of numbers are very misleading. Remember back in the day when we'd see something like 'The Cowboys are 60-3 when Emmitt Smith has 20 carries or more." Well.... yeah. When a team is behind, they run less.
No different here. When we are behind, we run less to conserve time. When we are winning, we run more to drain it.

His current contract already took care of that.Yes, Dak is in his sunset. This is likely his last shot at a bag of money. And he will make sure his daughter is well taken care of.
That’s how I feel as well.True but you'd still like to see that win/loss record be a lot closer to .500 in games the Cowboys rush for fewer than 100 yards.
A 9-24 record in those games is pretty damning, IMO.
