Goof Son. He is incompetent. He takes the draft calls in the War Room with teams offering him players he has no idea who they are and then doesn’t even ask anyone else who the player is. He tells…nobody. Not his fucking father who would be equally clueless, the head coach or even McClay. Unbelievable.

I was joking because they wouldn't name the player. But yes it is infuriating. You basically know less about NFL players than average Joe fan and you're in charge of this shit. And even at that you don't have the balls to ask the guy in the room about the player so that maybe you can actually learn something. Like hey, I know I'm deficient in this knowledge but I have a guy in the room that isn't. Maybe I should ask him about the player.

Who (which player) did goof not know?
 


This is mostly stuff we already knew about Romo/Witten having their special relationship, that when Garrett knifed Fat Wade in the back, etc.

They did not say who, but the player was significantly well known where the average person would know who they were.

First of all, fuck Patrick crayton.

Second, we're all the hero in our own story. Funny how that works.

Third it's clear he's defending Owens here like Owens was somehow wronged.

But the context that he won't say when he says that Owens was being disruptive to the QB and that's why they cut him, is that Owens was 35 at the time and had his last 1000 season in Dallas. Owens had 31 fewer targets and 230 fewer yards the following year in Buffalo. I guess they were conspiring to cut Owens out of their offense also?

I'm a lazy pos that surrounds himself with people that are better than me and I try to absorb and vicariously claim some of their success.

I thought Crayton was good in this. He didn't seem entitled or anything. I like how he went to little NW OK where they weren't pampered, how Parcells liked that he didn't blow his money, and how he separated himself from TO's Tour de France stunt.

What irritated me was the whole section Holley talked about himself. Like, dude, you were the spariest spare who ever spared. You only got a chance because of that ridiculous Irvin show that you didn't even legitimately win - one of the worst Jerry stunts ever. You made one play in your life and you barely made that. You should just shut up and never mention your pathetic "career" again.
