He mentions sheer inexperience on the line, but he's got a rookie holding his own at C while the high-priced vets on the right have regressed.

It's his own goddamn fault for hiring the dinosaur and not hiring free agent vets to fill the voids on the roster.

He's surprised, who else is?
 
Trade him to Houston. They have a good team and QB with a pathetic OL that's holding them back. Their LG was terrible anyway but now he's hurt. They'd probably take a Martin even if they knew he only had a year left.

Problem is, you think Jerry would trade him? No way. That's the HOFer he drafted.

Exactly.

We should be sellers right now and that guy right there, even with his struggles, would draw tons of interest.

If we were smart, that's exactly the team we should offer him to but no team overvalues and overrates their own quite like we do. And when you couple that with Jerry's ego, there's no chance in hell we'll trade him.

So we'll just eat that contract while he declines more and more.
