Well sure, you were the lowest until a little over a week ago when you finally got the Lamb and Dak deals done.

We went from dead last to middle of the pack after handing out two of the largest deals at their respective positions.

My guess is Jerry is pretending that all of the guaranteed money is being paid out this year to Dak and Lamb which isn't true. He loves himself some double accounting if it makes himself look good.

He probably thinks it's true. He couldn't fathom someone else spending more money than he did.
 
He is only saying it because the fans were on him about spending in the offseason.
