This is sad.
Look at that strut.
That's the confident walk of a man who knows he's guaranteed a roster spot no matter what.

Two Jerry pets?and Lance is #9 active player highest charge against this year’s cap.
Well, #10 if you combine Ezekiel Elliott’s current $2M with his $6M dead.![]()
I'd take the Fightin' Pisano over Lance.

Like a lot.

Besides the running, I have no idea what he is talking about.
He knows it was a shit performance and he's just doing his normal BS spin, I have no doubt that the actual people who make decisions know he's more or less cooked as a potential starting option.
He's just one of Jerry's "special kids" at this point.
I will say this, I was happy to at least see Lance trying some more difficult stuff. 5 picks is bad but if he plays ultra conservative all game, every game, he won't ever grow. He actually completed some difficult throws yesterday.
I don't know why I should even care though. The guy isn't the future in Dallas. He isn't going to be the backup. So the end game is all the same. Maybe we decide he is some sort of a specialist QB we can use for special packages running the ball. But other than that none of it matters.
Rush is getting up there, if they wanted to keep Lance as a backup in 2025 and beyond I'd have no problem. He has enough tools (his legs) to keep a team afloat for 4-5 games, anything beyond that is moot anyway.
But as long as Rush is willing to stay for like 3/year is probably prefer him.
Maybe the next Taysom Hill? If he is used right it might work. I mean, we need RBs.I will say this, I was happy to at least see Lance trying some more difficult stuff. 5 picks is bad but if he plays ultra conservative all game, every game, he won't ever grow. Besides the insanity of keeping this guy because you refuse to admit a mistake, what does that 2/3 the number of plays mean? Jerry is saying he wished he had fewer plays? But then he suggests he wishes Lance had more plays? Does Jerry know WTF a fraction is?
