The real miracle is that he played all of last year (IIRC).

He's never going to hold up.

Yep. That was the main reason why I wasn't worried about the trade when it happened. He was always hurt but he went the whole year with me waiting for his leg to fall off.

I never hope for injuries to guys like this but I do think it speaks to the level of physicality that a team plays with when the other team gets this banged up after playing you. Our guys were playing and hitting hard out there. I just hope at some point our run game sort of shows some of that physicality as well because I do miss the days of getting a lead and then just seeing our line bully defenses over and over for first downs. If you go back to like Dak's rookie year our running game could just close it out so well. You don't see that anymore. We can't just run the ball 3 times and get a first down.

Such a weird situation. But the success of his backup has the 49ers probably thinking long term on this thing. Still he went from totally healthy to IR possibly on like a Saturday.
