I don't even think most of the "LT's" we'd pick in the first would actually play LT for us, they'd be LG's primarily.

But beyond OT/OG I'd take Powers-Johnson, Barton, Laiatu Latu, Darius Robinson, Zach Frazier over Coleman.

Obviously if we resign Biadasz the centers are off the board in the first unless they have versatility to play elsewhere like Barton.

I'm willing to bet Powers could be a great guard too.

Laiatu Latu is going to be interesting on draft day. Neck injury, medically retired for 2 years, got medically cleared and had two awesome years at UCLA. I'd be lying if I said those medicals didn't scare me. Ignoring the evaluation of his skills, I don't think we can afford that type of risk in the first.

Yeah, great prospect and all but it's not just a slight medical concern and it's the neck. And I get that if the medical issue didn't exist he is a top 15 talent as a DE. But I'll let someone else take the risk. We aren't talking about a knee, or a chest muscle or even a foot issue.

At 24? No not at all. I mean if the Cowboys drafted him I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. I don't hate the guy, his feet and mirroring ability look really good to me. I think he can be a bit soft and give up ground, although don't take that to the extreme. He isn't weak, I think it's more of a technique thing because he doesn't use his arms great when blocking to sort of extend and keep Dlineman away from his body.

Which all brings me to the fact that I'm guessing his arms aren't particularly long. I think he can be a very good Olineman. But I'd rate him as a second rounder. He is a very effective college LT. But I sort of wonder with those arms if he has a long term future in the NFL at OT. The way the guy blocks he basically let's everyone into his body, makes me think he could struggle against NFL caliber guys in space and get moved inside.

If we took Morgan I think it'd be with the plan of moving him to LG like Bergeron last year. I think the same would apply to Fautanu, Barton would move inside as well but that could be LG or center.

I like Fauntanu and Barton more. Those are guys that play with more nasty. Something I think you absolutely need inside. Barton I probably like most because I think he could be an elite level center. Guy loves to put dudes on their asses and never stops blocking.

I'm actually extremely comfortable with Bass at guard. Laugh all you want but I think he gives you what you'd be trying to get with another LT to guard convert. Without the cost of a first round pick. If I'm looking for something on the Oline I'm taking a center. I've got Bass who I think is a good guard. I've got Tyler who is a borderline elite LT or LG. I've got Martin. I'm stuck with Steele one more year. The obvious answer is give me a center in this class.

Good news is the center class is one of the best in a long while.

Center is interesting because it's either going to be our top need or not a need at all depending on what happens with Biadasz. It's why I'm not talking about it much yet because it'll be obvious one way or the other in about a month.

If we don't resign him I think we'll either take a center at 24 or move up from our 2nd for one into the top 5-10 picks of the second.

We need to be better upfront. I'm not bringing Biadasz back because it's my only hope of improvement up front. If these retards aren't willing to bring in a new Oline coach, this is the only way in my opinion to significantly improve.

I'd seriously move down in this draft if the chance is there. We need more picks. Think similar to what we did for Frederick.

Thoughts on Van Pran and Frazier?

Damn, Hoge throwing out an honest opinion. I think ESPN guys are scared to give a bad report on Williams for some reason.......hmmnnn. About as close as they come are a couple of peeps throwing out that they think Maye will be better.

Like them both alot, Frazier I'd take after a trade down in the first, Van Pran would be nice in the second.

I sort of feel like if we leave a hole at center but get one of the top 4 guys we are in good shape. Powers-Johnson or Barton are ideal. I feel really good about Van Pran and Frazier as well.

If you let Biadasz go but can snag one of those four I'm thrilled.
