College football at one time was special. A team worked for years to build a program. A place where there was a history. A legacy. Which in turn helped with recruiting new talent.
Now? That's all gone. It's just who has the most money. The fastest, easiest track to the NFL. Teams promising players boatloads of money to poach them for a year or two. And promising to poach other players they want to play with. Buying championships is bullshit.
I hated when they lowered the age/years in school requirement before they could declare for the draft. But this is even worse.
I wish they'd reinstate when players would have to sit out a year if they transferred. You wouldn't see all this team hopping bullshit. Or make it that if a player accepts a full ride scholarship to a school, they have to honor it until they declare for the draft, graduate, or flunk out of school. Whichever comes first.
