2024 College Football Chatter

You can add Ollie Gordon to that list too.

Yeah it's funny, wasn't long ago that he was the phenomenon at RB who was supposed to be a first round RB. He has had a slow start to this season though. It's still early.

Hell Henderson would have competed to be the top RB last year. In this class he might not even be top 5.

This RB class is stacked, if it weren't for Jeanty the strategy would be very obvious, just wait until the 2nd or 3rd and grab the best one available.

But I truly believe Jeanty might be so special that you just can't pass him up if he's there.

And if he's gone there will still be plenty of options.

I might agree with you on this one. The way he sheds tackles like it's nothing is beyond impressive. I don't want to wait and then get the usual "well the RBs just didn't fall like we thought they would and just missed out on them" and then get a, we like what we have better.

The other thing is I think this is a pretty weak class at the top. The top prospects are who, Hunter, Graham, Will Johnson, an OT or two, maybe one of the WR's, Abdul Carter and ????

There are good players of course but that pales in comparison to what you'd see most years, so if we're sitting at 15 or whatever I'd have no issue taking Jeanty whatsoever.

Speaking of Abdul Carter, he's almost a carbon copy of Micah. It's kind of crazy.

What a stud.

Penn State sure know how to produce pass rushers whether that be at DE or LB.

Obviously he's not at Carter's level, but I think DDS is also a solid NFL prospect.

He is listed at least at 259 pounds which is impressive. If he is really that big he may actually have legit NFL DE size.

I know James Pearce is supposed to be the class of this draft as a pass rusher but I'm always concerned when I see 243 pounds for a guy who is 6'5". Just screams 3-4 OLBer and not 4-3 DE to me.

And call me not impressed with another overrated Georgia pass rusher in Mykel Williams with his zero sacks so far this year and 4.5 sacks in previous seasons. I personally just want to stay away from Georgia players. I don't think you can trust guys who are basically part time players because of the crazy depth on the team.

Williams is more of a 3-4 DE to me, doesn't have much bend/explosiveness, but he's more Travon Walker than edge rusher.

I definitely like Carter more than Pearce, although there's no chance we'll be picking high enough for him in the first place.

Tech played Cincinnati this past weekend and the good guys won of course. Mahomes and Kelce had a bet on the game and here is the punishment.

That thing looks like the Yosemite Sam version of Rowdy.

Its been around for much longer than Rowdy so Rowdy is a dollar store generic version.

Raider Red was started in 1971 based off a local cartoonist drawing. I always wondered how they could use a Yosemite Sam likeness.

I'm just wondering when people will seriously start talking about him as a better prospect than Bijan.

Hopefully not too soon (or at all) since I don't want him off the board if we're at 15 or something.

13/186/3 at half.
