It was this from Jerry Jones, asked about the future of head coach Mike McCarthy. “We’ll see how each game goes in the playoffs,” Jones said. When I read that, my first thought was that Jones wants insurance in case Dallas has an embarrassing end to its season. Second thought: Jones wants a shot at Bill Belichick.

I never assume this stubborn organization makes rational decisions regarding underperforming players they've signed to big deals. For all I know they will restructure Gallup and extend him.

For example I was shocked when they actually cut Jaylon Smith.

I can’t see how Gallup stays. He’s getting no play. They traded the wrong dude.

Not to be a broken record but... Belichick made like 20 million with the Patriots. Jerry isn't paying anything close to that.

If he stupidly fired McCarthy, you'd (we'd) get Quinn with Schottenheimer as OC. Because that wouldn't cost Jerry any (or very little) more.

Dak wasn't more talented than Romo. But Stroud is more - - maybe much more - - talented than Dak.

Yeah, I like Stroud but I think some are getting carried away with him. Excellent rookie year but Justin Herbert had an excellent rookie year too. Then he just sort of never took any serious steps forward.

Yeah I mean if we just want a guy that stands out there and blocks there are lots of guys I'm sure capable of that. But ultimately if you aren't good at catching the ball, there is no point in putting you out there.

No kidding. I'm not sure why Dak's talent still gets shit on so much. Dude is literally leading the NFL or near the top in most passing categories. And yet there are still people that think he has a weak arm, no accuracy and can't read a defense. I'm not sure how in the hell the guy could lack talent so much but yet be producing so well.
