Jerry trying to be diplomatic (or rambling incoherently) and thinking it will result in more holding calls. Doubtful, but putting them on blast isn't working either. Micah is a special case. Unlike any of the other great pass rushers of current day, Micah's athletic ability is off the charts. I do think it affects the perception of what he's capable of doing on any given play. Hopefully that can change, because Micah completely unleashed is terrifying.

What is so degrading and infuriating about a quote like that us how it insults everyone's intelligence. It's like Jerry is addressing a room full of learning-disabled 8 year olds. Jerry absolutely knows there's not a shred of truth to what he's saying, but he he says it anyway.

It's easy to say, oh, so what? It's just Jerry being Jerry. But if that's the case, why do any of these so-called sports writers—Machota, Archer—even bother to report what he says? It's worse than meaningless. It's taking his abysmal failure over three decades and shoving it up the ass of every Dallas Cowboy fan.

The worst that could happen to Jerry Jones is too good for him.

It's utterly incomprehensible.

I agree with most of this except Jerry is so overly optimistic, I think he actually does believe some of this stuff.

Not to say that the rest of us should.

Fowler and Armstrong haven't distinguished themselves lately, either.

I can appreciate that not everything has been perfect, but the way some people are talking you'd think we're crashing and burning as a 5 win team or something.

We're going to win 11 or 12 games and be in the playoffs.

Things haven't been that bad.
Agree totally, though had half those players delivered this year I think we'd have HFA and a first round bye

It's just what happens when you lose two in a row. Win the next two convincingly and everyone will be talking about Superbowl contending. It's the roller coaster we live on. I just think it would be a shame if we don't get any home playoff games when this team is just so dominant at home. If we would have won more on the road we would be at home for the playoffs. But we didn't, so ultimately this team needs to figure our how to play on the road better.

That could become the new Dallas Cowboys marketing tagline: THINGS HAVEN'T BEEN THAT BAD

We've had one of the best regular season records over the last 10ish years, so things definitely haven't been that bad. The problem is everybody projects their angst over the lack of playoff success onto every little thing that happens in the regular season, and then every playoff failure is basically a mini-apocalypse.

Why do they report on it? Because they know it will make people click on it. To discuss it. Just like what’s happening here. It doesn’t make a single fucking difference to them what you might actually think about the subject. Only that you are in fact, thinking about it.

~click~ cha-ching.

Nobody gives a shit about regular season records. All anybody pays attention to is playoff success, especially when you haven't had any playoff success for 30 years.

If they could take a poll among Cowboy fans and ask, are you satisfied with your team being a respectable also-ran—year after year after year after year—how would they answer?

We're not as horrible as a lot of other teams, so we're okay with that.

What a shameful standard for the Dallas Cowboys.
