Do retards not understand that once you're up 28 in the second half of a football game that you're not running your regular offense anymore? According to idiots like this we should be out there running up the score. Besides the fact that when your defense scores, your offense actually loses a possession.

Anyway, I digress. The team has had 3 great games and one shitty game. A shitty game where the defense gave up like 200 yards on the ground in the first half. And the offense was missing 3 probowl level O-lineman. We still should have won but hell. That game was one that you sort of just have to flush.

On to the 49ers. Who cares what some dumb shit says.

Doesn't matter what Dallas does, Shady and the hooker are going to find a way to squeeze a turd out of it.

I get it, sometimes I'm just shocked that people listen to this stuff. I don't remember sports TV being like this when I was younger. I find myself literally not watching any of this drivel anymore and just watching games. I'll watch draft stuff in the offseason but that's about it.

I stopped watching years ago, too. Once it started turning into just shouting people down and over the top stupidity, I lost all interest.

Feel like DeMarcus Lawrence isn't doing enough with all the attention getting paid to Micah.

edit: Damn I didn't realize he has 2 sacks already.

Odiggity is.

Because it wasn't.

I'm 43, so I grew up with some 80s coverage, but mostly 90s as that is when I entered my adolescence and was old enough to comprehend what I was watching.

And even as a 13 year old kid, I used to love watch the Sports Reporters on ESPN on Sunday mornings. It was real journalists doing real journalism.

Dick Schapp was great and I really enjoyed watching him.

I remember reading Dr. Z. in Sports Illustrated. And while some people didn't care for him, the guy was an encyclopedia of football knowledge and I loved reading about his history of the game.

And for as much shit as Chris Berman gets, who here didn't love NFL Primetime with him and Tom Jackson? It was just 2 guys going over the highlights of all of Sunday's games with no gimmicks or nonsense.

Tom Gannon was a great guy to hear talk baseball and NBC's coverage of the NBA was top notch.

My point is, TV and sports media coverage absolutely was nothing like this when we were younger and it's sad to see how it's all turned into the sports version of MTV in that it's all just trash television that makes you feel dumber after having watched it.

I literally don't watch ANYTHING in regards to sports shows anymore, not even the pregame stuff on FOX or CBS.

I basically just tune into the games and that's it.

He's always been about more than that, though.

Yes, it would be ideal if he were a double digit sack guy, but he's been one of the most well-rounded DEs going on almost a decade now.

He's a solid pass rusher but an elite run defender and a guy who never ever gives up. It's that latter point why I've always appreciated him as a player.

He's a fantastic locker room guy and the exact type of player you want your younger players to model themselves after.

I have nothing but respect and good things to say about Tank.

Just a damn solid pro all around.

But a lot of shtick from Berman, be it "rumbling, bumbling, stumbling" or nicknames like Curtis "My Favorite" Martin.

Sports Reporters was great. The mainstays were Schaap, Lupica, Albom and Ryan.

Off the top of my head he wouldn't go in front of Hutchinson, Gardner or Garrett Wilson. I'm sure there are a few others but he'd basically be a lock to go top 10, which is pretty god damn good.

He would certainly be the top O-lineman in my opinion.
